How to Use Hyper3d Beginners Guide
How to Use Hyper3D: Complete Beginner's Tutorial
This guide takes you from a new Hyper3D account to a reviewed and exported Rodin asset. You do not need previous 3D modeling experience, but a clear input and a defined destination will help you choose better settings.
1. Open the workspace
Go to the Hyper3D workspace and sign in. Check the active account or team before generating, especially if you use more than one workspace. Plans, credits, queue priority, privacy limits, API access, and advanced controls can differ; review the current pricing page instead of relying on an old screenshot.
2. Choose Image to 3D or Text to 3D
Use Image to 3D when appearance matters
Upload one or more clear photos (up to five images; the multi-image feature requires a subscription) to generate your 3D model. Make sure each image shows the complete subject. Avoid images with cropped subjects, heavy occlusion, confusing reflections, or cluttered backgrounds. One image is enough for many objects; add consistent side or rear views only when they reveal important structure.
Choose Text to 3D or Generate an Image First
Choose Text to 3D if you do not have a specific image you want to use as a reference for 3D model generation. Hover over Text to Image/3D to reveal two options:
- Turbo Gen: Quickly generate an image by simply entering a text prompt describing what you want.
- Remix Gen: Modify and refine an existing image to better match your desired result.
Once you have an image you're happy with, you can use it as a reference to generate your 3D model.
Confirm Your Model
After generating a preview model, review the geometry and choose your preferred confirmation option. For many model delivery and real-time application workflows, Triangle Geometry is a suitable choice. If your model requires further editing and would benefit from quad-based topology, choose Quad Topology.
Hover over Confirm to view the available confirmation options. In general, if you want to preserve more geometric detail, choose a high-polygon triangle mesh.
Add Textures to Your Model
You can use the original image used to generate the model geometry or upload a new image as a texture reference. You can also use the Remix feature again to modify and refine your texture reference image.
If you want your downloaded model to include textures, make sure to confirm the textures before downloading.
Download Your Model
We support downloads in several common formats, including OBJ, FBX, GLB, USDZ, and STL. We also provide Sim-Ready and 3D Print-Ready options to help prepare your model for different use cases.
Where to go next
Use the Rodin API documentation for automation, or the official add-ons documentation to connect supported DCC tools and engines. Save successful prompts and settings so your team can reproduce the workflow.
