Create 3D Models From Text in Rodin Workspace

Text creation is available inside the Image to 3D area of Rodin Workspace. Choose the Text-to-Image/3D path when you have an idea but no clean reference image. Rodin uses the prompt to establish a visual reference and then creates the 3D asset.

Choose a Text-to-Image Mode

In the text-to-image workflow, you can choose between Turbo Gen and Remix Gen based on your needs.

Turbo Gen: Quickly generates an image from your text prompt. The generated image can then be used as a reference for 3D model generation. This mode is ideal when you have an initial idea and want to create a visual reference quickly.

Remix Gen: Supports uploading up to three images and modifying them using text prompts. You can also use images generated with Turbo Gen as inputs for further refinement. This mode is ideal when you already have reference images and want to modify or enhance them.

You can also switch to Single Image Editing using the option in the top-right corner to make changes to an individual image.

Write one object at a time

Describe the subject first, then its defining shape, proportions, material, colors, and visual style. Keep technical delivery requirements out of the visual description unless they affect appearance.

Use the workspace controls for generation behavior

Choose Gen-2.5 when the reference needs the most capable current model and select a Thinking Effort based on complexity. Choose Gen-1.5 for a faster pass on simple objects and select Default, Focal, Zero, or Speedy as appropriate. Use the visible privacy, batch, preset, and credit controls instead of trying to encode those settings in the prompt.

Refine the source before rebuilding everything

If the generated concept is close but not usable, simplify contradictory prompt phrases and change one visual instruction at a time. Once the base geometry is generated, inspect it from all sides before confirming topology and texture. Use the workspace editing flow for local changes instead of restarting a successful model whenever possible.
