Voicemod, a real-time voice-changing and soundboard platform for gamers and creators, announced authentic Star Wars soundboards that can make sound effects and give you iconic quotes to play for your audiences.

The company, which also makes digital AI voice-changing technologies, is also working on Marvel soundboards will follow at a later date, with additional details to be announced.

Users can incorporate iconic quotes and sound effects from some of their favorite Star Wars films and TV series into gameplay and streaming through Voicemod’s platform. Voicemod already has an audience of 5.7 million monthly active users using its digital soundboards and voice changers.

“One of the things that excites me the most about this deal is that having IPs like Marvel or Star Wars is really something. You need to have a solid brand and a solid team and a solid project to be able to to get to those big partners,” said Jaime Bosch, founder and CEO of Voicemod, in an interview with GamesBeat. “I believe that all the company’s trajectory and the fact that we built such an amazing business and have such an amazing community behind our products is the one of the factors that enable us to get the content.”

Available as standalone purchases within the Voicemod platform, Voicemod users can access soundboards from many fan-favorite Star Wars stories, with the opportunity to build a collection tailored to the characters and worlds that matter most to them. The soundboards plug directly into the platform’s audio setup, allowing users to trigger these sounds in real time while gaming, streaming, or chatting on social platforms.

“Gameplay and streaming are inherently social, and a lot of that experience comes down to how people react and interact in the moment,” said Bosch. “These soundboards build on those interactions by giving users a way to bring sounds from Marvel and Star Wars into those moments, whether they’re joking with friends, reacting on stream, or creating content. The shared feelings that come from sounds people know and love generate an instant sense of belonging.”

The first two soundboards, The Mandalorian & Grogu, are available starting today at https://voicemod.link/mandalorian and https://voicemod.link/grogu.

Voicemod is a leading real-time voice changing and soundboard platform used by more than 45 million gamers and creators, empowering people to express themselves through sound. Used across gaming, streaming, and social platforms, Voicemod enables low-latency voice changing, soundboards, and interactive audio tools that make voice a core layer of digital identity.

The usual setup is users play a game together and they are talking at the same time. They are hanging out, and they use these Soundboards to express things happening in the game or to react to something that somebody says,” he said.

Right now, you can only use the Soundboards to create pre-recorded Star Wars sounds from Grogu and The Mandalorian. I’m guessing Disney doesn’t want to see anyone making inappropriate sounds with their iconic characters. A lot of the users are streamers, who use sound effects for laughs in their shows.

“The biggest use case are like individuals hanging out with their friends, usually while gaming,” Bosch said.

The voices cost $9.99 or $7.99 if you’re premium member.

Headquartered in Valencia, Spain, Voicemod partners with leading hardware and platform companies to bring on-device, next-generation voice experiences to millions of users worldwide. The company has 95 people and it has raised $22 million to date. The company was founded in 2014 by three brothers: Jaime Bosch, Fernando Bosch and Juan Bosch.

“Voicemod became over the years a content platform,” said Bosch. “We’re basically enabling people to express themselves the way they want to in the form of audio, and we’ve been doing that by designing sounds and voices internally in the team.”

But the company also aims for having iconic content in the platform. And that’s why it is making sounds from Star Wars: The Mandalorian, available as sounds that people can play via their Soundboards, which are used in playing games or in audio or video podcasting. In this case, there are two Star Wars Soundboards: one for the Mandalorian, and one for Grogu.

“People are using these [Soundboards] to make quick reactions,” said Bosch. “They use those sounds to express an emotion, almost like an emoji. Just as you would use an emoji in the chat. They use it the same way, but on a communication via audio.”

While the company uses AI to convert voices in real time, there is no AI used in the Soundboards. Most of the 5.7 million monthly active users are gamers.
